Florent Malouda Returns to Ligue 1 with FC Metz
Florent Malouda has sealed his return to Ligue 1, signing a one-year deal with FC Metz, the club confirmed via Twitter. The contract includes an option for an additional year.
The former France international had been a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor following a dispute with then-coach Vahid Halilhodžić. Metz had expressed strong interest in bringing in the experienced winger, and the deal has now been finalised.
A veteran of spells at Lyon and Chelsea, Malouda brings valuable top-flight experience to the newly promoted side as they look to consolidate their place in Ligue 1 this season.
