Jonathan Zebina, the defender and club captain of Toulouse FC, has announced his departure from the team in June. In a post on social media, Zebina revealed that he was not included in the future plans of the club.
Feeling disappointed about not being selected among the starters for the recent match against Paris Saint-Germain, Zebina expressed his frustration on his Facebook page. He mentioned that despite his recent performances and his role as captain, he had expected to play in such an important match. Zebina, who has previously played for AS Roma and Juventus Turin, admitted that he did not understand the new situation where he was relegated to a substitute role.
Zebina clarified that he had a conversation with the coach, Alain Casanova, who explicitly stated that Zebina was not part of his future plans for the team. As a result, Zebina expressed his desire to continue his career, either in France or elsewhere, and pledged to make the most of his remaining time with Toulouse FC to leave behind positive memories.
At 35 years old, Zebina’s departure marks the end of his tenure with Toulouse FC, but he remains determined to contribute positively to his team until the end of his contract.
