While The Chronicle suggested an agreement was close, reports from Le Progrès say otherwise — Saint-Étienne have made inquiries but find Yanga Mbiwa financially out of reach, so they’ve ruled out signing him.
Now, all eyes might turn to Olympique de Marseille, who could consider relaunching their interest. Since Yanga Mbiwa is reportedly unwanted by Newcastle, he could be a key defensive reinforcement for OM if they decide to go after him.
