Ibrahim Sissoko is leaving Saint Etienne to return to the Bundesliga. After joining on loan from Wolfsburg last summer, the Ivorian striker failed to make a significant impact at Saint Etienne. He made only four appearances in the league, playing a total of 94 minutes. Sissoko will be returning to Wolfsburg, where he still has a year and a half left on his contract. The 22-year-old Ivorian was absent when Saint Etienne resumed training, as coach Christophe Galtier had already informed him before the holidays that he was no longer part of the team’s plans.
