Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Memphis Depay has reiterated desire to play with Brazil star Neymar Junior at Corinthians.
Depay joined the Brazilian outfit in the summer transfer window after ending his stay with Atletico Madrid.
The former Manchester United forward has been in contact with Neymar, who has been linked with a move to his former club Sao Paolo.
Recently, Depay and Neymar met in Sao Paulo, fueling a possible return to Brazil.
“Ney knows what I discussed with him. That’s something between us. But of course it is important for this country. He is a superstar, and has all the qualities to lead Brazil to the World Cup title,” Memphis said.
“I would like to play with him at Corinthians. Even though he is actually for Santos. He is an inspiration to many people. I wish him the best, and hope he is and remains happy wherever he goes.”
Neymar currently plies his trade for Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal but is currently injured.
