Algerian left-back Yanis Hamache, who joined MC Oran from FC Arouca last summer, has yet to make his Ligue 1 Mobilis debut due to a thigh injury sustained during the club’s pre-season training camp in Turkey.
The situation has sparked rumors, but club president Chakib Ghomari has strongly refuted these claims, insisting the injury is legitimate and not a result of negligence.
“There have been false reports suggesting that Hamache’s injury is old and that we failed to properly assess him before signing him. This is completely untrue,” Ghomari said. He explained that Hamache had been training normally in Tlemcen and Turkey, but experienced pain in his thigh during a friendly match. After treatment, he rejoined the team but the injury flared up again upon returning to Oran.
MC Oran’s medical staff opted for a two-month recovery plan, and Ghomari emphasized that Hamache underwent thorough medical checks upon his arrival. “He’s been working hard and will be ready to contribute to the team soon,” Ghomari assured, ending the speculation.
