Head coach of MC Alger, Rulani Mokwena has described his outfit match against Al-Hilal of Sudan as the most difficult this season.
The Algerian outfit will play host to Al Hilal in the round five of the CAF Champions League group stage on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Stade Ali-la-Pointe.
In the first-leg encounter, Al Hilal triumphed over MC Alger 2-1 on home soil and are aiming to upset the Algerian club in the return clash.
At the pre-match conference, the South African tactician tagged his outfit previous game against Al Hilal as the most difficult this season.
“The Al-Hilal match is the most difficult for us this season.” he told reporters. “Al-Hilal’s players are exceptional and can play with high pressure, and they excel at aerial balls and rely on quick transitions.”
“I hope to achieve victory tomorrow, and our motivation is certainly greater than Al-Hilal’s because we need the match points, while Al-Hilal seems to be in a comfortable position to qualify, even if they lose tomorrow’s points, they can still qualify in the final match against Saint Lupopo.”
Currently, Al-Hilal sit top in Group C, which includes Mamelodi Sundowns, MC Alger and Saint-Loup of Congo.
Al-Hilal maintained their lead in Group C with 8 points, three points ahead of Sundowns, who are second on the standings after four matches.
