Samir Nasri has announced on Twitter that he will be unavailable for 8 weeks due to a partial rupture of the internal ligament and an effusion at the level of the cruciate. The injury occurred during a match against Newcastle when Nasri was tackled by his teammate Mapou Yanga-M’Biwa. Despite initial fears that his season might be prematurely ended, Nasri’s recovery period is now expected to be shorter than initially anticipated.
