Mbappe’s late strike sparks wild Mourinho reaction as Real Madrid win El Clasico

Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 at Spotify Camp Nou in the 10th round of La Liga, with Kylian Mbappe’s late goal prompting an animated celebration from the Madrid substitutes’ bench.

Mbappe struck in the 87th minute to score Real Madrid’s second goal, and the moment produced a particularly exuberant reaction from Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager jumped up from the bench and celebrated with a series of expressive gestures.

Footage shared by DAZN Espana showed Mourinho on his knees with his tongue out as he celebrated Real Madrid’s 2-1 goal at Camp Nou. The broadcaster captioned the clip: “On his knees and with his tongue out. Mourinho being Mourinho.”

Mourinho also repeatedly left the technical area to protest against refereeing decisions during the match. His first departure came 10 minutes after kick-off.

The Real Madrid manager and his assistants later continued to approach the referee to challenge further decisions, leading to several confrontations with members of Barcelona’s bench.

A second post from DAZN Futbol highlighted Mourinho’s long association with the fixture, describing the moment as: “13 years later. Same Jose Mourinho.”
