Mbappe trails Yamal and Haaland in latest list of football’s most valuable players

Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland remain joint leaders of the world’s most valuable footballers, with both Barcelona winger and Manchester City striker retaining market values of €220m.

Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid forward, is third on €200m, according to Sport.

Transfermarkt published an updated assessment of player market values on Monday, but there was no change to the valuations of the top three players.

Yamal’s impressive start to the season has strengthened his position at the top of the rankings. The Barcelona player has scored eight goals and provided six assists in eight appearances for his club. He has also recorded four goals and one assist in three matches for the Spain national team.

Haaland has scored seven goals in seven matches for Manchester City so far this season, maintaining his place alongside Yamal at the summit.

A few months ago, Yamal and Haaland made football history by becoming the first players whose market values exceeded €200m.

There was movement further down the list, with Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise seeing his valuation increase from €170m to €180m. That gives him a slightly clearer advantage over Jude Bellingham, who is valued at €160m, and Barcelona midfielder Pedri, whose market value stands at €150m.

Pedri is sixth in the overall rankings and is the second-most valuable player at Barcelona by market value.

Joao Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Vitinha share seventh place, with each player valued at €140m.

Vinicius Junior, meanwhile, suffered the largest decline among the leading players. The Real Madrid forward’s valuation fell by €10m, from €140m to €130m, although he remains 10th in the list of the world’s most valuable players.
