Mbappe relationship with Real Madrid hits breaking point

Relations between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have sharply deteriorated, with reports indicating tensions within the club have reached their peak since the forward joined.

The situation exploded after Mbappe’s recent trip to Italy while recovering from injury, a move that angered sections of the board and fanbase, who felt it sent the wrong message at such a delicate time.

The problems, however, started months earlier. Mbappe was deeply unhappy with the decision to sack Xabi Alonso in January, having placed a great deal of trust in the coach and struggling to accept life under interim boss Alvaro Arbeloa. During his subsequent knee injury, he became convinced the club were taking risks with his fitness, a complaint he voiced privately and which only widened the divide.

In the dressing room, doubts have also grown. Several players are reportedly frustrated with Mbappe’s limited defensive effort, especially when compared to Vinicius Junior, who is viewed as relentlessly committed. Some figures inside Madrid even question how serious his current injury is, while the club officially insist it is just a minor muscle tear. The overall feeling is that trust between Mbappe and Real Madrid has badly broken down.
