Mbappe determined to finish Real Madrid season on the pitch
Kylian Mbappe is reportedly intent on featuring in all of Real Madrid’s remaining league fixtures after sitting out the recent Clasico defeat to Barcelona.
Marca reports that the French forward wants to rebuild his rhythm and fitness ahead of turning fully to his World Cup campaign.
Mbappe pulled out of Sunday’s game after feeling discomfort in his hamstring during the final training session at Valdebebas. Although he had been expected to play, he stopped with only a few minutes of the session left and informed the medical staff he could not continue. The issue is linked to the hamstring injury he first picked up against Real Betis on April 24, which has already kept him sidelined for several matches.
Despite this setback, Mbappe has no plans to shut down his season early and is pushing for a swift return. Real Madrid hope to have him available for Thursday’s clash with Real Oviedo at the Santiago Bernabeu, a game that has grown in importance as the club looks to salvage pride from a frustrating season.
Madrid’s final home match against Athletic Club on May 24 and a trip to Sevilla in between round off the campaign, with Marca stressing that Mbappe’s situation is viewed purely as a medical matter and that he remains focused on finishing strongly on the pitch.
