Mazraoui to AC Milan: Manchester United right-back linked with Serie A switch

Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui, the Manchester United right-back, has been linked with a move to AC Milan in what would be a significant defensive reshuffle for the Serie A side. The 28-year-old, who also holds Dutch nationality, is under contract at Old Trafford until 30 June 2028 but is understood to be attracting interest from the seven-time European champions.

Milan are exploring options on the right side of their defence and view Mazraoui as a potential reinforcement, with his current market value listed at around 18m. Any deal would likely require a substantial fee given the length of his contract and the fact United only signed him from Bayern Munich on 13 August 2024, in a transfer worth 15m.

Mazraoui has accumulated extensive experience at the highest level, including 41 appearances in the UEFA Champions League and a spell in the Bundesliga with Bayern, where he was part of the squad that won the German title and Super Cup in 2022-23. Before moving to Germany, he came through the Ajax system and established himself in the Eredivisie, making 93 league appearances for the Amsterdam club.

On the international stage, Mazraouis profile was further enhanced when he helped Morocco win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025, adding a major international honour to an already decorated career.

Uniteds stance on a possible transfer has not been made clear, but with nearly two years still to run on his deal, the Premier League club are in a strong contractual position as Milan assess whether to turn their interest into a formal approach.
