Younousse Sankharé has firmly declined an offer from Patrice Neveu to play for the Mauritania national team. Despite being eligible to represent Mauritania due to his heritage, Sankharé has expressed his preference to play for the Senegal national team.
Patrice Neveu revealed that Sankharé has declared his allegiance to Senegal and not Mauritania. As a result, Neveu has decided to abandon any further attempts to persuade the midfielder to join the Mauritania national team. Additionally, Sankharé’s rumored move to Rennes in January did not materialize.
