The Mauritania U17 national football team is set to undertake a rigorous series of training camps in preparation for significant upcoming international competitions. Under the guidance of Saudi coach Youssef Al-Dossary, the young Mourabitounes will participate in two crucial preparation camps, one in Saudi Arabia and the other in Algeria.
The training program will commence on July 16 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will extend until August 11.
Following this, the team will relocate to Algiers for the second phase, which will run from August 12 to 21, 2024.
This meticulous preparation schedule is part of Al-Dossary’s strategic plan to enhance the team’s performance ahead of the Arab Cup in September and the U17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for October.
The dual-location training camps are designed to provide the U17 team with diverse and challenging environments.
The camp in Jeddah will focus on building physical endurance and tactical awareness, utilizing the city’s advanced sports facilities and favorable climate.
The subsequent phase in Algiers will aim to fine-tune technical skills and foster team cohesion, benefiting from Algeria’s rich football culture and competitive training atmosphere.
Coach Youssef Al-Dossary has meticulously selected a squad of 29 players for these training camps.
These young athletes were chosen after an extensive review of talent in the U17 national championship, representing the future of Mauritanian football.
The selected players will undergo intensive training, providing them with the opportunity to hone their skills and demonstrate their potential in high-intensity settings.
The dual training camps signify a significant investment in the development of Mauritania’s young football talent.
By exposing the players to different training environments and styles, the coaching team aims to build a versatile and resilient squad capable of competing at the highest levels.
The emphasis will be on physical conditioning, tactical discipline, and technical proficiency, ensuring that the players are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
The primary goal of these preparations is to ensure that the U17 team is ready to compete effectively in the Arab Cup and the U17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The training camps will provide the players with the necessary experience and confidence to perform under pressure, as well as the opportunity to build strong team dynamics.
Coach Al-Dossary’s experience and strategic planning will be pivotal in guiding the team through these preparatory phases.
The Mauritania U17 team’s upcoming training camps in Saudi Arabia and Algeria are crucial steps in their journey towards international success.
