Mathys Tourraine: Morocco-France right-back joins Pau FC from Paris FC
Morocco-France defender Mathys Tourraine has joined Pau FC from Paris FC, with the right-back signing a contract with the Ligue 2 club until 30 June 2028.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Lyon and stands at 1.72m, moves after an 18-month spell on the books of Paris FC, during which he also spent time on loan at Rodez AF and Clermont Foot. His switch keeps him in French football and returns him to a division where he has already accumulated significant experience.
Tourraine has established himself as a regular at Ligue 2 level, making 88 appearances in the competition and playing more than 6,000 minutes, contributing one goal and two assists from right-back. Predominantly right-footed, he arrives at Pau FC with a clear profile as a specialist in his position rather than a converted defender.
Before signing for Pau FC, Tourraine’s career featured a steady climb through the French system. After spells in the youth set-ups at Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, he spent time without a club before rebuilding his career with AS Poissy. That led to a move to Grenoble, where he progressed from the B team to the first team, earning the transfer to Paris FC in 2024.
Tourraine’s market value is currently listed at €600,000, and his new deal ties him to Pau FC for the next two seasons as the club reshape their defensive options.
