Mathieu Nguefack skips Germany U19 duty for Borussia Monchengladbach

Mathieu Nguefack has opted not to join Germany’s Under-19 squad during the international break, choosing instead to remain with Borussia Monchengladbach’s first-team group.

The 18-year-old defender had received an invitation from the German youth national side. However, he was present at Gladbach’s senior training session on Monday afternoon, confirming that he will not travel for international duty.

Nguefack’s decision reflects his ambition to establish himself at club level. By staying in Mönchengladbach, he can train with the professionals throughout the break and make a stronger case for Bundesliga minutes when domestic football resumes.
