Nigeria’s U20 national team shared the spoils with Kenya’s U20 team on Wednesday afternoon after a 2-2 draw in their clash in the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The two youth national teams faced off today in their final Group B game at the tournament.
On the matchday, Kenya scored first through Kevin Wanganya after six minutes into the first half to take the lead.
Nigeria restored parity in the 13th minute thanks to a fine strike from Kparobo Arierhi.
The first half ended in a 1-1 draw before goals from William Gitamu and Daniel Bameyi cancelled out in the second half to force the match to end in a 2-2 draw.

The result means Nigeria joins Morocco to progress to the knockout stage of the 2025 CAF U20 AFCON.
Kenya finished bottom of the group and has been eliminated from the tournament.
