Comoros secured an important 2-0 win against the Central African Republic on Sunday, improving their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team put up a strong performance in the first half, ensuring that they got the job done before the break.
Following a very good start to the match, Comoros equalised through Youssouf M’Changama in the 20th minute after he was set up by Myziane Maolida.
Later in the 39th minute, Myziane Maolida was set up by Faiz Selemani and also equalised to double the lead for the visitors.
Despite the best efforts of the Central African Republic in the second half, the defense of Comoros stood strong to ensure the team cruised to the 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Following the win against the Central African Republic, Comoros now sits second in Group I, just one point behind Ghana.
The Eagles must now hope Ghana slips in their clash against Mali on Monday to stay in contention for qualification.
