A towering new mural in north London is turning heads as the countdown to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) reaches 100 days.

Standing nearly 10 metres tall and nine metres wide, the vibrant artwork celebrates Morocco’s football heritage and artistic culture in the heart of Tottenham.

Unveiled by reviews platform Tripadvisor in collaboration with Visit Morocco, the mural serves as both a tribute to North African creativity and a visual teaser for the upcoming continental tournament, which kicks off in Morocco early next year.

Painted by renowned UK street artist Peachzz, the piece draws heavily from her travels through Moroccan cities and landscapes.

The design features bold tones and patterns that capture the country’s distinct spirit — a blend of tradition, hospitality, and a deep passion for football.

Situated just off Fore Street, a short walk from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the mural brings a burst of colour and cultural vibrancy to one of London’s most diverse communities.

Moroccan international and Crystal Palace defender Chadi Riad was present at the unveiling, describing the project as a meaningful intersection between sport and art.

“A mural like this will spark curiosity, encourage people to find out more about Morocco, and inspire them to engage with AFCON when it comes around,” Riad said.

“It feels right for London, a city with such a rich history of creative expression, to be the place where our football and our culture are celebrated together.”

The Tottenham installation marks the beginning of a wider cultural campaign, with several large-scale murals planned in major cities around the world in the build-up to AFCON.

Through this initiative, Visit Morocco hopes to highlight the country’s growing role as both a global football hub and a destination where art and sport unite to tell stories of identity, pride, and shared celebration.
