Mashujaa FC strengthen midfield with Tanzania international Jonas Mkude

Tanzania midfielder Jonas Mkude has joined Mashujaa FC, giving the club a new central midfield option as the 33-year-old returns to the domestic game after a spell without a club.

Mkude’s move was completed on 18 August 2026. The transfer brings a player with experience of African club competition to Mashujaa FC, although the terms of his agreement and the length of his contract have not been disclosed.

Born on 3 December 1992, Mkude stands 1.79m tall and operates primarily in central midfield. His arrival adds experience to a Mashujaa squad that will now have a midfielder with a record of competing in both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

Mkude has made 23 appearances in the CAF Champions League, scoring once. His goal came during a total of 1,735 minutes in the competition, an average of one goal every 1,735 minutes.

He has also played 10 matches in the CAF Confederation Cup, completing 874 minutes in the tournament. Across the two continental competitions, he has therefore made 33 appearances and scored one goal.

The midfielder joins Mashujaa FC as a Tanzania player and will represent the club following his period without a previous affiliation. His move was registered in Tanzania on 18 August, with Mashujaa FC now listed as his current club.

Mkude’s profile is defined by his position in the middle of the pitch and his experience at continental level. The available record places his appearances across the two CAF competitions at more than 2,600 minutes, providing a clear outline of his involvement in African club football.

His signing also gives Mashujaa a senior midfielder whose most recent recorded competitive experience includes matches in both of the continent’s principal club tournaments. No contract expiry date has been announced for the player.

Mkude has now completed his move to Mashujaa FC, where he will continue his career as a central midfielder.
