Masar suffer first Professional League defeat as nine-goal thriller grabs attention

Masar suffered their first defeat of the season in the Professional League on Thursday, losing 2-0 to El Mansoura in the seventh round.

Four matches were played, with the most dramatic contest coming at the Railway Stadium, where Al-Sekka Al-Hadidica beat El Entag El Harby 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller.

Thursday’s results

Al-Sekka Al-Hadidica 5-4 El Entag El Harby

Mohamed Osama scored twice for Al-Sekka Al-Hadidica, while Mohamed Gebs and Abdullah Hosny were also on target as their side secured a narrow victory.

The result moved Al-Sekka Al-Hadidica to 10 points, while El Entag El Harby remain on seven.

Lafriena 1-3 Al-Nasr

Ahmed Sabeq scored twice for Al-Nasr, with Islam El-Tetsh adding the other goal. Karim Alaa replied for Lafriena.

Al-Nasr moved up to 12 points after the win, while Lafriena remain on three.

El Mansoura 2-0 Masar

Mohamed Bibo and Walid Attia scored for El Mansoura, who collected their third win of the campaign to reach 11 points.

Masar remain on 16 points despite losing for the first time in the current Professional League season.

Pharco 0-1 El Tersana

Tehami Saeed’s goal gave El Tersana victory away to Pharco.

The win took El Tersana to 12 points, while Pharco’s total remains 13.

Friday’s fixtures

The seventh round will conclude on Friday with six matches.

Dairut will face Ismaily, while Tanta take on Haras El Hodoud.

Proxy meet WE, and El Dakhleya play Maliyeh Kafr El Zayat.

Baladiyat El Mahalla will face Team FC, with Electricity Ismailia hosting Mega Sport.
