Masar stay top of Professional League after late win over Proxy

Masar maintained their lead at the top of the Professional League with a 1-0 victory over Proxy in the sixth round of the competition.

The decisive goal came from Samir Balia in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, securing Masar’s fifth win of the campaign.

The result moved Masar to 16 points, three clear of second-placed El Ismaily Electricity, who reached 13 points after beating Pharco 3-1.

Islam Abdel Naeem and Akram Abdel Rabbo scored for El Ismaily Electricity, while Mohamed Essam replied for Pharco. The result left Pharco on 13 points, behind El Ismaily Electricity on goal difference.

Elsewhere, El Nasr claimed a 3-1 win against Al-Sekka Al-Hadid, while El Dakhleya won 2-1 away to Team FC.

Kafr El Zayat Financial handed Mansoura their second defeat of the season, winning 2-0.

Omar Saudi opened the scoring for Kafr El Zayat Financial in the 10th minute before Ahmed Abu Ajeela added the second in the 75th minute.

The victory lifted Kafr El Zayat Financial to 12 points in fifth place. Mansoura remain ninth on eight points.

The sixth round continues on Friday, with El Entag El Harby facing Tanta, Haras El Hodoud playing Diyala, and El Terسانة meeting Baladeyet El Mahalla.

Egyptian Telecom will host La Viena, while Ismaily travel to face Mega Sport.
