The 27-year-old right-back becomes the latest addition to the Fez-based club’s squad during the summer transfer window as the former Moroccan champions look to strengthen their options ahead of the new campaign.

MAS Fes confirmed that Kalela had successfully completed his medical examination before joining the club.

A new African chapter for Kalela

Born in Portugal, Kalela represents Mozambique at international level and now begins a new chapter in Moroccan football.

The defender developed through the youth ranks in Portugal and received part of his football education at the renowned Benfica academy.

He later began his professional career with Belenenses before continuing his journey in Portuguese football.

His move to MAS Fes brings another African international into the Moroccan league and underlines the club’s efforts to reinforce its squad with experience ahead of the new season.

MAS Fes continue summer recruitment

The signing is part of MAS Fes’ ongoing work in the transfer market as the club seeks to build a competitive team for the campaign ahead.

Known as the Yellow Team, MAS Fes will hope Kalela’s experience in Portuguese football and his international background with Mozambique can add strength and depth to their defensive options.

For the 27-year-old, the move also represents an opportunity to continue his career in one of North Africa’s leading domestic leagues while bringing his experience to one of Morocco’s historic clubs.
