Morocco’s Professional Football League has confirmed that MAS Fes will officially receive the Botola Pro championship shield following their historic title-winning campaign.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 9pm at the Grand Stadium of Fez, where the newly crowned champions will be honoured in front of their supporters.

MAS secured the title on Sunday after defeating Olympique Dcheira in the final round of the season, sealing a long-awaited return to the summit of Moroccan football.

MAS crowned after dramatic title-winning season

The Fez-based side claimed the championship with a 2-0 victory on home soil, with goals from Chbani and Tahiri confirming their status as league winners.

The result completed a season in which MAS held off strong competition to secure the Botola Pro crown, ending a 41-year wait since their last league triumph in 1985.

It is the fifth league title in the club’s history, adding to previous successes in 1965, 1979, 1983 and 1985.

Historic return to Moroccan football summit

The triumph marks a significant moment for the club and the city of Fez, often referred to as Morocco’s scientific capital, as MAS return to domestic dominance after decades away from the top.

Their consistency throughout the campaign proved decisive as they held off rivals to finish at the summit of the league table.

The upcoming ceremony will officially complete a remarkable turnaround for a club that has waited more than four decades to lift the national championship trophy once again.
