Botola Pro: MAS Fes face five absences for Raja Casablanca clash
MAS Fes will be without five players for Thursday’s meeting with Raja Casablanca as injuries leave the club facing a major selection headache.
Souleiman Allouch, Adel Rahili, Hamza Afsal, Mozambique international Diogo Kalala and young Senegalese defender Samba Mbengue will all miss the third-round National Professional Championship fixture.
The match will be played at the Honorary Stadium in Meknes, with MAS Fes unable to host Raja at their usual venue because of ongoing rehabilitation work.
Five players ruled out
The five absences represent a significant blow to the MAS Fes technical staff ahead of one of the most anticipated fixtures of the early season.
Allouch, Rahili, Afsal, Kalala and Mbengue are unavailable because of injuries, leaving the Fez-based side with fewer options as they prepare to face Raja.
MAS Fes will hope their strong start to the campaign can offset the impact of the missing players.
Raja clash moved to Meknes
The fixture was moved from the sports complex in Fez after it became unavailable because of rehabilitation work linked to preparations for events surrounding the 2030 World Cup.
MAS Fes will therefore welcome Raja at the Honorary Stadium in Meknes on Thursday, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00.
MAS Fes make perfect start
Despite the injury concerns, MAS Fes head into the match with maximum points from their opening two league games.
The club began the campaign with a 2-1 victory over Renaissance Zemamra before recording another 2-1 win against Hassania Agadir in the previous round at Al-Bashir Stadium in Mohammedia.
The six points have given MAS Fes an encouraging start to the season, but their depth will now be tested against Raja.
