Marwan Shahin: Egyptian midfielder joins Bilqas City on free transfer

Egyptian midfielder Marwan Shahin has joined Bilqas City on a free transfer from Qanah. The 31-year-old central midfielder moves within Egyptian football after leaving the Premier League side to take up a new challenge.

Shahin, who is primarily deployed in central midfield, strengthens a Bilqas City side looking to add experience and control in the middle of the pitch. His arrival gives the club an established option in the centre of the park, with the deal completed on 23 July 2026.

The move keeps Shahin in his home country, maintaining a career spent in Egyptian football. At 31, he brings a level of maturity and tactical understanding that Bilqas City will hope to draw on immediately as they shape their squad for the coming campaign.

Shahin leaves Qanah having been part of a Premier League environment, and the switch represents a change of surroundings while remaining in familiar domestic conditions. The free transfer nature of the deal also allows Bilqas City to reinforce their squad without paying a fee.

The transfer has been finalised and Shahin is now officially a Bilqas City player following his switch from Qanah.
