Martin Boakye’s hat-trick powers Buriram United to 9-0 rout over Khonkaen United

Italian-Ghanaian striker Martin Boakye delivered a masterclass performance, netting a stunning hat-trick as Buriram United demolished Khonkaen United 9-0 in Thai Premier League action at Chang Arena.

Boakye wasted no time, scoring in the 1st minute with a clinical finish after a Suphanat Mueanta assist. He doubled the lead in the 6th minute, again combining with Mueanta to slot home a brilliant strike. The Italian-Ghanaian completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute with a composed penalty, capitalizing on Khonkaen United’s defensive woes.

Suphanat Mueanta and Bissoli were equally instrumental in the victory, with Mueanta grabbing a hat-trick of his own and providing two assists. Bissoli added two goals to the tally, while Ratthanakorn Maikami capped off the dominant display with a goal in stoppage time.

The match also saw Khonkaen reduced to 10 men after Tinnakorn Asurin’s dismissal in the 76th minute, compounding their misery. With 64% possession and 14 shots on target, Buriram United’s dominance was clear.
