Martial Godo: Strasbourg and Fulham in talks over €22m winger return to England
Martial Godo, the Ivorian-English left winger currently at Strasbourg, is being linked with a return to Fulham as the Premier League club explore a move for the 23-year-old this summer.
Strasbourg, who signed Godo from Fulham in September 2025, face interest in a player whose stock has risen sharply in France. The London-born attacker is under contract with the Ligue 1 side until June 2030 and is currently valued at around €22m, a figure likely to underpin any negotiations between the clubs.
Godo has emerged as one of Strasbourg’s key attacking outlets, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances, a return that has attracted attention back across the Channel. His form in France follows earlier senior experience in England, where he made 34 League One appearances for Wigan and featured in the Premier League for Fulham.
Fulham previously brought Godo through their youth ranks after signing him from Margate in 2022, promoting him from their U21 side into the first team before sanctioning his move to Strasbourg for a reported €7m. A potential deal this summer would represent a significant uplift on that fee and underline his development since leaving west London.
With four years still remaining on his Strasbourg contract, the French club are under no pressure to sell, and any agreement is expected to hinge on Fulham’s willingness to meet a valuation shaped by Godo’s impact in Ligue 1. For now, he remains a contracted first-team regular at Strasbourg.
