Marseille step up pursuit of Haissem Hassan with €8.5m offer to Real Oviedo

Marseille have made a formal offer for Real Oviedo forward Haissem Hassan as they accelerate their plans to strengthen their attack before the new season.

According to information from Misralbalad, the French club have proposed an initial €8.5m fee for the 23-year-old, with a further €1.5m available in bonuses. The bid represents a significant step in Marseille’s efforts to complete the transfer and add another attacking option to their squad.

The offer has been submitted directly to Real Oviedo, who remain responsible for deciding whether to accept the terms. Hassan is under contract with the Spanish club until June 2027 and is currently valued at €8m.

Marseille’s move comes as the club look to make progress quickly in the summer transfer market. Their intention is to reach an agreement with Real Oviedo as soon as possible, allowing their coach to have Hassan available as a new attacking asset ahead of the season’s restart.

Discussions between the two clubs are continuing, but Marseille have reportedly already reached an agreement with the player over personal terms. Hassan is said to have accepted a five-year contract with the French club, which would include an estimated annual salary of €1.5m.

That agreement leaves Marseille needing to settle the remaining issue with Real Oviedo. Although Hassan’s personal terms are reportedly in place, the transfer cannot be completed unless the Spanish club accept the structure and value of the proposed deal.

Hassan has also attracted interest from elsewhere. According to exclusive information reported by Africafoot, Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC are also working on a move to sign the player.
