Souleymane Diawara, the Senegalese international central defender who currently plays for Olympique de Marseille, might be on the move this summer. The 35-year-old veteran, who has made 19 appearances and scored one goal in Ligue 1 this season, is reportedly attracting interest from Montpellier.
With his contract set to expire next month, Diawara is said to have offered his services to Montpellier, as reported by La Provence. However, the Hérault club has reportedly decided not to pursue the deal due to concerns over Diawara’s salary demands, which are deemed too high.
It remains to be seen where Diawara will play next season as he evaluates his options ahead of the summer transfer window.
