Olympique de Marseille have extended the contract of Algeria Under-? midfielder Yannis Sellami until June 2029, committing to the 19-year-old’s development at the club.
Sellami, who came through Marseille’s academy, signed the new deal during the international break. The French club announced the agreement on Friday, 2 October 2026, as they look to retain one of their promising young players.
“The Algerian midfielder, a graduate of the academy, has extended his contract with Olympique de Marseille until 2029,” the club said on its official social media accounts.
The decision underlines Marseille’s confidence in Sellami’s potential and their intention to continue his progression within the first-team set-up. The midfielder has developed through the club’s training system and will remain part of their plans for the coming years.
His renewal comes during a difficult start to the season for Marseille, but the club have nevertheless chosen to invest in the teenager’s long-term future rather than leave him available to potential suitors.
The announcement was accompanied by a message of congratulations to Sellami from Marseille, who described him as a product of their academy and confirmed the extension of his contract.
