Marseille revive transfer pursuit of Everton left-back Adam Aznou
Olympique Marseille have reignited their pursuit of Everton left-back Adam Aznou, months after seeing a winter approach firmly rejected by the Premier League club.
Back in January, Everton shut the door on Olympique Marseille because they had no suitable replacement for the Moroccan defender, who had only arrived from Bayern Munich for around €9 million in the summer of 2025.
Six months on, the situation has changed. Aznou never truly settled in England, and his market value is now estimated closer to €7 million after a difficult year. According to TeamTalk, Everton are no longer ruling out a departure for the 19-year-old, despite his contract running until June 2029, and the most realistic scenario discussed is a loan deal with an option to buy.
For Marseille, the opportunity looks appealing but not straightforward. Ajax are also tracking Aznou and could move quickly, raising the risk that OM miss out on what appears to be a cut‑price opportunity. With the left‑back position still a priority, Marseille must now turn renewed interest into concrete action, or watch a promising, young international slip away to another ambitious project.
