French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille is reportedly prepared to let Ivorian defender Bamo Meïté leave during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old central defender has struggled for game time under head coach Roberto De Zerbi, featuring in just three Ligue 1 matches this season and accumulating a mere 24 minutes of play.
With his future at the club uncertain, Marseille’s management has clarified their stance.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, the club is open to either a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an option to buy. This decision comes after Marseille president Pablo Longoria’s recent remarks fueled speculation about Meïté’s future.
Not fitting into the coach’s plans, the Kani-born player is now poised to seek a new challenge.
Currently under contract with Marseille until June 2028, Bamo Meïté is valued at €5 million by Transfermarkt.
His potential departure could pave the way for more opportunities elsewhere as he looks to revive his career and secure consistent playing time.
