Olympique Marseille are closing in on the acquisition of Ivory Coast international Hamed Junior Traorè in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The French Ligue 1 giants are bolstering their squad in an attempt to make a meaningful impact this season, with Traore emerging as a top target for the club.
With Marseille reaching agreement with Bournemouth, the enterprising midfielder is expected to seal a loan move to the French outfit with an option to buy at the end of the 2025/26 football campaign.
Traorè will sign a five-year deal with the French Ligue 1 giants at the end of his loan spell next summer.
Marseille were looking to tie up a move for the Ivory Coast international, who spent last season on loan in Ligue 1 with Auxerre and provided to be a revelation – with ten goals and two assists logged in 26 games on loan from Bournemouth.
The attacker can play both as a winger or an attacking midfielder, and will be arriving following Jonathan Rowe’s departure to Serie A side Bolonga following a dressing altercation with Adrien Rabiot (30), who is also on the club’s transfer list.
Bournemouth had previously rejected an approach from fellow Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais, preferring to sell the player eventually permanently. Traorè previously played under played under Roberto De Zerbi at Sassulo, where he played with the likes of Maxime Lopez, Manuel Locatelli, and Domenico Berardi.
