N’Golo Kanté: Marseille Interest Fades as Leicester Emerges as an Option
The future of N’Golo Kanté remains uncertain, as Olympique de Marseille appears to have cooled its interest in the Caen midfielder. While the talented player of Malian descent has been linked to a move to the Stade Vélodrome in recent weeks, the situation has stalled.
Speaking to Tendance Ouest, Kanté admitted that his future is still undecided:
“For the moment, I’m in Caen, preparing, and we’ll see how things develop. We’ll try to resolve the situation with the club and my agents and make sure this matter is resolved. I’m in discussions with several clubs, and I’ll probably make my choice later. As of today, I haven’t made my choice yet.”
Despite initial interest, Marseille no longer seems to be actively pursuing the 24-year-old. Meanwhile, Leicester City, now under the leadership of Claudio Ranieri, has entered the race and could provide Kanté with an opportunity to move to the Premier League.
While Kanté remains focused on his current preparations with SM Caen, it is clear that several clubs are monitoring his situation closely. Whether he remains in Ligue 1 or makes the jump to England, a decision is expected in the coming days.
