MARSEILLE: IMBULA WANTS TO MOVE FORWARD

Imbula
Last December, Gianelli Imbula experienced a decline in his rating while playing for Marseille. This slump led to a moment of personal struggle for the French midfielder of Congolese descent, as he found himself spending more time on the bench than on the field.

When questioned about this challenging period, Imbula expressed his determination to move forward and leave his struggles behind. He acknowledged the setback but remained steadfast in his belief that he would rediscover his form and performance level.

“I endured a rough patch, but I never lost faith in myself. Despite being sidelined, I remained confident that I would regain my form. That phase is now behind me, and I’m focused on the future. While I may come across as reserved, I’m not one to give up easily. I prefer actions over words,” Imbula remarked during an interview with RMC.

Imbula emphasized his self-reliance, stating that he doesn’t rely on external validation or expectations from others. He understands the need to adapt and believes that his success ultimately depends on his own efforts and determination.
