Andre Ayew received bad news as the left knee sprain he sustained during the 2014 World Cup play-offs in Egypt has been diagnosed as more severe than initially thought. Marseille announced on its website that Ayew has an unstable external meniscal lesion in his knee, requiring surgical intervention scheduled for Monday, November 25. The estimated recovery time for Ayew is approximately eight weeks, with a return to the pitch expected at the end of January.
