Marcelo Bielsa praises Abdelaziz Barrada ahead of Evian clash
At the pre-match press conference for Marseille’s upcoming Ligue 1 game against Evian, coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke warmly about Moroccan international Abdelaziz Barrada.
“When I first saw Barrada play during my time at Athletic Bilbao, I thought he was a very promising player,” Bielsa revealed. “When I asked for more details, I was told he was a player who could move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.”
Bielsa also explained why Barrada was absent from the squad for the upcoming match: the midfielder is recovering from a left thigh injury sustained during Morocco’s recent international fixture. “It’s best to let him rest fully and avoid any risk by rushing his return,” Bielsa added.
