MARSEILLE: FANNI “WE MUST BE ASHAMED”

Despite conceding their third defeat in four games against Rennes (0-1), Marseille’s struggles continue as they suffered their sixth loss at the Vélodrome stadium this season. The winning goal came from Rennes’ Abdoulaye Doucouré on a counterattack.

This disappointing result has dropped Marseille to sixth place in Ligue 1, significantly distant from qualifying for the Champions League next season.

However, Franco-Beninese player Rod Fanni remains optimistic and believes that Marseille can turn things around in the upcoming matches.

“We need to give our best. We are paid to perform at our highest level. We will think about calculations later, but the current situation is not beneficial for anyone. We should feel ashamed of ourselves. In the locker room, we feel the desire to change things. We are lacking luck, but to change that, we need to put in all our efforts,” stated Fanni in an interview with RMC.

Marseille will face Sochaux on Saturday (5 p.m.) with hopes of ending their four-game winless streak.
