MARSEILLE ELIMINATED, THE ETO’O FESTIVAL, MESSI BACK; ALL RESULTS AND VIDEOS

The European football evening was filled with excitement and goals. Samuel Eto’o showcased his talent, Messi found the net, and Marseille fought to stay alive.

Jose Mourinho’s strategic changes paid off for Chelsea, as they triumphed 3-0 against Schalke 04. Hazard was not in the starting lineup, but Samuel Eto’o seized the opportunity to shine on the European stage, scoring for the first time in the Champions League since 2011. Senegalese striker Demba Ba also contributed to the victory.

In a thrilling encounter, Marseille faced elimination from the Champions League after losing their fourth consecutive match in the tournament, this time against Napoli. The match ended with a score of 3-2, featuring spectacular goals, including one from Gokhan Inler.

Borussia Dortmund fell short in repeating their previous victory against Arsenal, losing 1-0 with Aaron Ramsey scoring the decisive goal. Atletico Madrid secured a clear 4-0 victory against Austria Vienna, with Diego Costa rebounding from a missed penalty to score another goal this season.

Lionel Messi made a triumphant return, unlocking the score for Barcelona from the penalty spot in a 3-1 victory over Milan. Messi netted a second goal, and Gerard Piqué’s own goal did not impact the overall result.
