French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille have confirmed the acquisition of Nigeria international Tochukwu Nnadi in the current transfer window.
The 22-year-old midfielder joins Marseille on a permanent deal from Belgian club Zulte Waregem on a transfer fee worth €6 million on the back of his scintillating performance.
“I’m happy to be here in Marseille. It’s my first day in France. I want to play football and fight for OM,” the midfielder said.
The Nigeria international featured in 18 matches for the Belgian outfit, playing a key role in the team’s campaign and showcasing the qualities that convinced Marseille to move swiftly for his signature.
Nnadi began his professional career in 2021 with Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv, where he took his first steps in European football. He later joined Zulte Waregem in January 2024, a move that proved pivotal in his development and ultimately earned him a high-profile switch to France.
The midfielder will continue his development in France with Marseille and will be hoping to make a meaningful impact as aim to attain greater heights of his football career.
He was part of the Super Eagles squad that claimed bronze at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, defeating Egypt on penalties in the third-place clash.
