André Ayew Leaves Door Open on Marseille Future
As his contract with Olympique de Marseille nears its end-of-season expiration, André Ayew remains noncommittal about his next move. The Ghanaian international, who has become a key figure at OM, has yet to make a firm decision on whether to extend his stay at the club or pursue a new challenge abroad.
Speaking to RMC radio, Ayew said:
“Experience a new championship? Why not. Or continue with OM, I’m not setting anything in mind. If everything is in place for a new season, I’ll decide. I know the club’s situation. In my head, I’m not setting anything in mind, and if I have to leave, I’ll leave.”
With no agreement currently in place, both options remain on the table: a contract extension with Marseille or a move to a foreign league, with potential interest reportedly coming from England, Spain, and Italy.
As OM deals with financial constraints and Ayew prepares to represent Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, his future could hinge on both sporting ambitions and club stability in the months ahead.
