André Ayew Focused on OM Finish, Contract Talks with Labrune Planned
André Ayew has confirmed that he will not be leaving Olympique de Marseille this winter, even though his long-term future at the club remains uncertain. The Ghanaian international, whose contract expires at the end of the season, addressed the situation during a press conference on Friday.
“I’m looking to finish the season with OM, I’m happy,” Ayew said. “I’m not thinking about all that, I’m only thinking about the present and the upcoming match.”
While there’s no extension agreement yet, Ayew emphasized that there are no issues with the club’s management.
“I have a very good relationship with the president. I’m going to talk with Vincent Labrune during the break,” he added. “There are no problems—he can’t plan ahead now, there are several parameters, you have to think about everything that’s around it.”
The upcoming discussion with OM president Vincent Labrune could be decisive in determining whether Ayew remains at the club beyond the current season.
