Steve Mandanda, Marseille’s goalkeeper, sustained a shoulder injury during the match against AC Ajaccio (3-1) on Friday, marking the opening of the 32nd day of Ligue 1. The injury occurred following an aerial duel, resulting in Mandanda’s poor reception.
After being released with a neck brace, Mandanda was diagnosed with “a small acromioclavicular sprain of the left shoulder and a slight trauma to the neck,” according to the club’s official website.
It is expected that Mandanda will be sidelined for around ten days, potentially causing him to miss the upcoming match against Montpellier on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
In other news, Florian Thauvin, who was absent against Ajaccio, resumed training on Saturday morning at the Louis-Dreyfus center.
