Abdeslam Ouaddou has officially retired from professional football, bringing an end to his career. The Moroccan defender, who had numerous caps with the national team, confirmed this decision in an interview with Afrik-foot.
“I stopped during this summer transfer window as I didn’t find a challenge that excited me. I had opportunities abroad, but once again, I wasn’t excited. From there, I decided to hang up my boots and retire from football,” he stated.
Ouaddou had a brief return to his former club Nancy after leaving Qatar FC, but he hasn’t played since January 2013. His professional career spanned 16 years.
