Joseph Marius Omoga, the Cameroonian coach of AC Leopards de Dolisie, achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Confederation Cup, marking the Congo’s return to continental success after 38 years. In an interview, Omoga credited the team’s success to their extensive preparation, playing numerous matches nationally and internationally, including in the DRC, Gabon, and Angola. He expressed happiness about the upcoming African Super Cup, where AC Leopards de Dolisie will face Cairo National (Al Ahly) in Egypt, considering it an exceptional opportunity for gaining more experience. While Omoga’s contract is initially for one year, he expressed interest in continuing with the team, but the decision ultimately lies with the president. Omoga highlighted the presence of quality coaching, including his assistant Cyril Ndonga and football figures like Nasredine Nabi and Pépé Minga, contributing to the team’s success.
