Former Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Mario Lemina is poised to join Turkish club Galatasaray on a loan deal valued at just under £3 million.
The transfer is contingent on Wolves completing the signing of Marshall Munetsi from Ligue 1’s Reims, with reports indicating that a €20 million agreement has been reached for the Zimbabwean international.
Lemina, a Gabon international, has not featured for Wolves since expressing his desire to leave the club at the beginning of January.
Despite this, he has since apologized to Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira and made himself available for selection while awaiting the resolution of his future.
The midfielder, a regular starter under former manager Gary O’Neil, has been absent from the squad for the last four Premier League matches.
As Wolves find themselves in a relegation battle, only two points above the drop zone, securing Munetsi’s arrival is crucial for the club’s efforts to strengthen their squad.
Lemina is familiar with Galatasaray, having spent the 2019-2020 season on loan at the Istanbul-based club, where he made a notable impact during his time there.
