Mario Balotelli has officially acknowledged paternity of his daughter, Pia. Despite initially refusing to attend a legal hearing to establish paternity two months ago, the AC Milan striker has since changed his stance and admitted to being the father.
In a heartfelt message posted on his Twitter account, Balotelli wrote, “Finally the truth. Pia my darling daughter. Your father.”
This development comes after Balotelli had previously threatened legal action against the mother of his daughter, Raffaella Fico, whom he has now recognized. Fico, in turn, had accused Balotelli of showing little interest in their child.
It seems that Balotelli’s decision to publicly acknowledge his daughter has put an end to the speculation and legal disputes surrounding the matter.
