Mario Balotelli opts to stay at Italian outfit Genoa

Mario Balotelli Genoa

Italian international of Ghanaian descent Mario Balotelli has opted to stay at Genoa despite early struggles at the club.

Balotelli has struggled for playing time, marking only six appearances without finding the net since joining the Rossoblu outfit in October 2024 as a free agent.

The former Manchester City star prefers to stay at Genoa despite not being in the plan of manager Patrick Vieira.

Balotelli was a transfer target for both AC Monza and Bari but the enterprising forward prefers to stay at Genoa.

Meanwhile, his contract with the Serie A club is expected to elapse at the end of the season.

Balotelli has had spells with a host of top clubs in Europe including, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Liverpool, Marseille and others.
